We've been to this location several dozen times. Today for lunch we had the new Ribeye melt on recommendation from the waiter. It was disappointing. Very dry and the meat was pretty tough. They had a new mac and cheese side with gouda that was pretty good. Overall the appetizers, salads and steaks are decent, however overpriced. They offer coupons often which helps bring down the cost. It is a family favorite and in our rotation. This location is quite busy, especially on weekend nights.

An Outback is usually a treat for our family. It's not too expensive but it's not something you want to eat every week. So, for my daughter's birthday we took her to this one and it was a pleasant surprise. I think the best thing was our waiter, a man whom I unfortunately have forgotten his name. At first service looked like it was slow and lacking, but he picked up the pace and kept us entertained and made sure everything was right. In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much we ate dessert and then embarrassed our daughter with a birthday song. So, to this Outback I say, "Keep whomever that young man was that caused the teenage girls at our table constantly giggling".

Good place to eat, but no WI-FI. They need to get with the 21st century. Can't beat the steaks. Sometimes forced to watch golf or women's softball. Boring. Service is always good.

We called ahead and were seated within a few minutes of our "call ahead" time. The Firecracker Salmon is delicious, but misleading. The name made me believe it was spicy, but it wasn't. Our server Sunny was attentive and had no problems with special requests for dressing on the side or no butter for the mixed vegetables. My mother's steak came out undercooked and without question it was replaced to her liking. Great food for a chain restaurant!

Just had lunch there and my Husband said never again. He had a double burger that we could have gotten from McDonalds. Asked for medium and the burgers were so thin, over cooked and very dry. The lettuce wasn't even green and the tomato was the butt end. The manager made the mistake of stopping by our table to ask how everything was and we told him. He offered us a coupon for an appetizer for our next visit. We left it on the table. He should have taken the burger off the bill. My Husband didn't even finish it.

Outback: I want to not like you, but you are so reliable. Good place to go for a steak and potato meal. I usual get the 6 oz special el cheapo special to go. I just wish it didn't come on foil because it ruins the taste. The Bloomin onion free special keeps me coming back because I love it. Their Nascar driver coming in the top ten wins you a free bloomin onion nearly every week. Salads look inedibly sad most of the time, which is a problem for me. They have some great alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

Decided to have a small get together at the local OBS! I haven't been for many many years.. everything looked the same.. still crowded on the weekends.. Food was still good! I missed the cheese fries! yummmm!! Brought back old memories going back to the restaurant with my girls who used to work there in HS~

This was one of the best experiences I've had at an outback... I have been to several but the service was great and everything went smooth and the food was right...

Super fast service (even on a Sat night). They definitely have the staff trained well.

Day/Time - Wednesday Night at 7 pm Ordered - 8oz Filet with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and 22 oz Bud Light Review - Overall this was a good experience. I was traveling for work so I was eating by myself. The place was packed. I put my name in and was told it was a 35 minute wait. The wait ended up being around 30 min. There was a $3.00 22 oz draft beer special. I ordered quickly and the food came out quickly and was cooked the way that I ordered it.

Not sure if the wait is worth it, but the food is delish. As for calling ahead to save a seat in line...good luck if you can get them to answer the phone.

This place is always so consistent. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. Wait times on the weekends are a nightmare but the food and service make up for it.

I always forget about Outback as frankly I'm not usually a huge fan of chain restaurants, but Outback is pretty tolerable for me as long as we go early & beat the rush! The service at this location seems to be pretty consistent & I've noticed there is usually a manager making the rounds too and checking on things. The steaks & sides are good...the hardest part for me is not filling up on the amazing bread & salad, their ranch dressing is my favorite!! There have been a few times when I've been shopping at Target in the same shopping center & have had the genius idea to order carry out and the process is very straightforward. Not having to leave your car is great and you can order online.

Super crowded & very tight quarters on the weekend !! I don't understand the hype of Outback, the food is just ok. Our waiter went above and beyond to make the very awkward experience smooth as far as our orders were concerned. We never once had to ask for a refill. One notable point though was he actually told me NOT to order a steak, "but it's a steakhou---" he looked at me insisting, OK.. thanks? I would never eat here on my own accord, this was strictly a family event, a very tight one albeit there were 8 of us in one booth .. talk about growing closer over a meal! One and a half hour wait for that booth but I guess I should be thankful we didnt eat on the floor.

Not a fan of chains but this place is consistently good. Good food quality, friendly staff, and quick service makes this a great place to pop into on Monday night when you don't want to make dinner. We never go during prime time hours because the place is a madhouse. I love the margaritas and the bar area is a great place to catch a bite and watch some football. Good for a chain!

I visit this location a good amount as an easy dinner idea. The staff is so friendly and food always great. I enjoy the manager is always out in the restaurant and often stops by our table. Sometime I get the curb side pick and the service is also always great. I am normally not a huge chain fan but this location is great!

Meh. No, sub meh. For being a steak place, it wasn't all that. I don't mind paying a bit more for good food, but this was on the high end price wise, and the food on the low end quality wise. My steak was tough, gristle-y, and tasteless, something I might find at a low end steak place like those old Bonanza or Ponderosa. Their signature blooming onion was undercooked and too greasy. I've had good experiences with Outback before, although it's been a while. Sad to see the decline.

Love and hate - it's a great place to dine, but the wait is dreadful. We all know what Outback is like, righty mate? Steaks, Fosters, and a little bit of surf and turf makes the place ideal for anyone's appetite. The service was great -- I do feel bad that the wait staff also are busing their own tables... and they gladly were able to help me when I accidently ordered a full blooming onion and only wanted a half. 4 stars, just sometimes insane to get a seat Friday-Sunday

  • Maria F.

I have been a patron of Outback for quite a while. The food and service is good. I always look forward to trying new things when they change the menu. This summer they have a salted caramel cookie that is absolutely delicious. I think I could eat that every day and be very happy! The reason I gave this a 4 star and not a 5, was because when we were seated the table and benches were still very wet and never dried which was very disappointing.

2.5 rating: I cannot remember the last time I visited an Outback before last night but regardless, I didn't go with very lofty expectations. It was only decided after wanting a convenient meal that was at or above the quality of something I could make at home. This place was mediocre...at best. I opted for the sirloin & endless shrimp with a house salad. The salad was poorly thrown together and after I dug out the mound (literally) of cheese placed on top there was little left to be consumed. The steak, prepared medium, wasn't bad yet still pretty unremarkable. The worst part: the endless shrimp. You get a choice between sautéed or fried. I opted for the sautéed garlic shrimp and was presented a greasy, salty concoction of baby shrimp which, oddly, had already begun to congeal in spite of the serving dish being warm. Slightly saving graces: no wait to be seated and waitress was pleasant.

I always do the order pick-up, just my preference! I always get a order of the Kookaburra Wings and the Bloomin' Onion. Mild of course with an extra side of blue cheese for the wings and extra side of dippin' sauce for the onion! The drive-up can be pretty attentive on certain days and less on others, so it is a hit-and-miss situation.

I haven't been to Outback in YEARS!! Boyfriend decided that he missed it so we decided to go. We went just at dinner time and had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. Next time I will use their call ahead seating! It was the week before Mothers Day so they had really good specials running!! I ordered the prime rib special and boyfriend had the chicken and ribs. I was stuffed after eating half of my meal but not to worry I had help finishing! The service was good and our waitress was very sweet and attentive. I'm pretty sure we will out Outback in our regular rotation.

Food always good. the reason I gave 3 stars..... I don't like being rushed. I visited this location a week ago, we barely through half of the salad and entree arrived. Oh how I don't like that to happen. this particular evening was not packed, so they weren't rushing to empty tables

If you're hankering for a yummy gristle sandwich, outback steakhouse is the place to go. They call it prime rib on the menu, but rest assured that its 100% gristle! Their website claims they have a "$4" happy hour all day, everyday, but at 7pm on a Thursday they claim there are no specials. Bait and switch! Stay away! There are far better happy hour deals elsewhere.

The Poptails are amazing! I'm always a fan of the Bloomin' Onions, And the bartenders are so nice and attentive. I had the Aged Cheddar Bacon Burger and it seriously melted in my mouth. I'm happy I ate at the bar though because my view was looking at servers constantly texting and chatting in big groups behind a terribly laid out design of a kitchen walk in for king periods of time. If I hadn't sat at the bar where the POS station is in their face my order probably would have been forgotten because my server was too zoned into their game of "I love you baby" text tag. Great food, the staff may want to hop out of their high school lifestyle of serving and not crowd up the walkway with personal business every time they turn a corner while your guests are or could be watching. I know you're human, but leave your phone in your car and worry about your money, not how many likes the selfie you just took in the bathroom. I'll always come back for the classic Potato Soup and a good juicy burger. Keep it professional. Love your bread.

Great service at the bar! The bread is amazing. I ordered a "favorite," the Alice Springs Chicken. If I ever order it again, I'll ask for extra mushrooms. My wife enjoyed her burger, and the fries were really good.

This outback is really going down hill. It used to be one of the good ones. We came here because my girlfriend had a giftcard. Since we weren't actually paying for the meal we weren't as upset considering several things went wrong. First the host told us it would be about 20 minute wait. Instead of sitting at the bar we wanted an actual table. It was a nice evening so we decided to sit out front on the bench bh the door. After over 30 minutes we went back inside to see what was going on. The guy said he paged us but thought we left. They said the buzzers don't always work outside. I was like what the hell! If that is the case why didn't he tell us to stay inside and why didn't they come out side to see if we were there. We were right next to the door. So then they said it would be another ten minute wait. Second I ordered a margarita. After drinking half of it, I realized the label was still on the lime and parts of it floating around in the glass. I let the waitress know and she brought me another. However I had already drank half of one with dirty limes in it. Next the steaks, my girlfriend ordered a filet medium. It came out medium rare at best. I ordered the flat iron steak medium rare. It was really rare. The quality of the steak was not the best. It had a lot of gristle on it. The waitress came by to see how we were doing and offered to have the steaks put back on the grill we declined because we were starving at this point. The manager came later to apologize for everything and offered a coupon for a free blooming onion. Big deal. We don't eat those things anyway. They are terrible for you. The only reason this is not a one star is because the waitress was very good. None of the problems were her fault. We felt bad that she had to keep apologizing for the rest of the establishment so we left her a good tip. I'm glad we had the gift card and we're not paying for this meal out of our pockets or I would have been so damn mad.

To start the night it only took 2 hours to get seated. Once seated it took another 10 minutes for the waitress to arrive at no fault of her own as it was Valentines day. Drinks and sides were brought out properly. Caesar salad and my wife's garden salad were great with the right balance between dressing and lettuce. Main dishes came but they forgot one meal. The salmon was the size of a Lima bean and the pork chop was like a sponge both which were seasoned with a heavy portion of salt and wait for it ....... More salt. If you like basic food seasoned with salt then outback is the place for you. Over all I would not go back but I will give them a three star for they did provide good customer service and the salad was great.

Had a great experience at this particular Outback Steakhouse this evening, with great customer service. When I received a well-done steak instead of medium as I'd ordered, the waiter immediately agreed with me that an error had been made, and within minutes management had brought me a correct steak with new sides, and very graciously apologized for the error. My only small complaint is that the bathrooms were not very clean. On the whole, good food like most of the chain, good atmosphere, and a great customer service experience!

Had to get up and pour my own refills. Took two hours to eat. I'm writing this review from the toilet. Nuff' said. I'll post a pic of the bathroom as well.

Outback is one of the best fast food chains America has to offer. I always order the same thing each time I go. Filet mignon and lobster tail :) Can't go wrong. I don't like that outback is always overcrowded and loud but the food speaks for itself. And the staff at this location is usually pretty on point.

  • Kyle B.

The food was under cooked and the bathrooms were so gross! Smelled like urine and something burned and the floors were sticky. The manager then looked baffled when we reported it but I can't imagine how she couldn't know if the staff uses them.

Dining in: 3.5 stars. Take out: less than one star. We live 4 miles from this outback, therefore it is convenient. However, the take out is TERRIBLE!!! I said the last time would be our last and gave this location one more shot. Today's experience of "take-away": We came home with unseasoned fish, had no dipping sauce for the unseasoned fish because they forgot to pack it, 3 small stalks of broccoli as a side, wilted brownish lettuce in the salads, a teaspoon of butter (and a teaspoon is pushing it) for the full loaf of bread, and a steak ordered Medium-rare that was cooked well done. It was dark BROWN. Not a lick of red/pink. I am all for checking orders before you pay, but how do you check the cook of a steak sitting in a line of cars?? DO NOT ORDER TAKE AWAY!!! I feel bad for the local kids who are serving, but where is the manager??? This was ridiculous. We will not be returning customers and will enlighten family and friends of multiple bad takeout experiences. This being the last!

I've been to this area two times now, and each time utterly disappointed. I actually decided not to come back after my first visit, but ended up coming back a 2nd time b/c I got a $50 gift certificate to Outback, so i figured to give it another try. Summary: I would give this place one star, but their kids menu hamburger pulled it to two stars. Service was average, staff was courteous, so not too much to complain about there. The main issue I have here is the value. When I order a main entree for greater than $15, i expect either great taste or large quantity. Here, you get neither. I don't even remember the name of what I ordered, but it was a grilled chicken entree with some vegetables on the side. The chicken was small, way overcooked, and had little flavor. My wife got a pork chop, and had similar comments. We also ordered a quesedilla appetizer, which I thought was pretty good though. So at least that worked out. The only main entree that was not bad was the kid's meal hamburger. The burger meat was cooked decently (not great), but their burger bun was really good. The bun had a nice chewy texture with some bite to it. It felt fresh and I could just eat that bun with a bowl of soup and be happy. So, that summarizes it for me. Bring your kids here, and steal their hamburger. Maybe order a quesadilla too.

When in need of a decent steak at reasonable price, this is the place to be...service at this location is always on point. The staff is amazing like they can read your mind- keep the bread coming. The bloomin onion is better known to me as gourmet onion rings love the dipping sauce that come in the middle. Bonus anytime Ryan Newman (race car driver) place 10th or higher you receive free food.

So we've been here a few times and each time has been pretty good. The food is always good and the service is generally pretty good. But last night took the cake.Caroline was our server and from beginning to end she was attentive.Hubby had the coconut shrimp and Alice chicken - he loved it. I had a burger and garlic mashed potatoes and unlike some places where they say garlic potatoes but you don't actually taste the garlic, these were well seasoned and the burger was well cooked and flavorful. We had the wings as an appetizer and they were delicious as well. They have added a few new dessert items. And these items feature Blue Bell ice cream. I happen to be in LOVE with Blue Bell and very sad that it isn't readily available here in Maryland. So I was pleasantly surprised (to say the least) to see this on the menu and instead of finishing my burger, I saved room for dessert and had a mini milkshake. Presentation was great - adorable old fashioned glasses and of course it was DELICIOUS!(need to find a new word for delicious!) But Caroline made it extra special and added a big scoop with chocolate sauce and oreos on top! She was great the food and dessert was great and we would be back even without the Blue Bell. ETA - wait times on weekend evenings can be long but they accept call ahead seating. I suggest going a little earlier we try to avoid the long waits by going by 6 or 630.

Hadn't been out to dinner with my significant other in quite a while and felt the urge for a filet. The service was OK but the food was disappointing this time. First my Caesar salad came out with a huge black hair in it, completely visible across the top, it took 10 minutes to get a new one. Food took forever to come out even after my do-over salad was done. Then my 8 oz medium rare filet, which I had been so excited about came with baked potato. Both were awful, the potato was dry & mealy and the filet was about the same. Filet was under seasoned, dry, and tasted like it had just been thawed, totally disappointed. Neither the server or the manager who was around asked how our food was. My SO's prime rib came out much more done than medium rare, luckily he had the Au Jus to moisten it. Overall total waste of money, completely disappointed. Paid in cash and asked the server for another receipt with the total we paid including tip and we're told the receipt we got was the only one for cash, I wanted the receipt with the survey link, couldn't get it, so here is my review.

This Outback is quite popular so do the call ahead seating to save valuable time. They share a parking lot with Carrabbas so be careful and patient. I've ordered various items but this time I decided to try the teriyaki tips. I did not care for the teriyaki sauce as it was bitter so if you order this entree get the sauce on the side just in case. Steak was cooked to my liking and was tender not chewy which was great. Oh and must get the wings. They use a dry seasoning for various spice levels instead if drowning in sauce. Love them!

Tried the 'all you can eat shrimp'... Complete ripoff. Only get 5 tiny shrimp at a time. Waited for over an hour and when we were finally seated the service was super slow. Don't waste your time on this dump.

My steak was cooked PERFECTLY. I am a rare steak man and I got the 9oz filet rare. It was cooked absolutely perfect. Now, I am a host at Fleming's Downtown Baltimore, so I have seen fine steak before. This was almost as good as ours. I have never gotten a menu item that looked the way it did on the menu, but this was pretty damn close. Our waiter was nice and boxed up all I didn't eat. I admit, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. The one complaint is that the garlic mashed potatoes were far, far, far too garlicky. I need to cut back a little bit. Other than that. Meal was good and I got my discount because Fleming's owns Outback :-)

Food is alway good but your host staff is terrible. Very unfriendly and they like to give evil looks if you ask how long it will be for a table. The server was very good though.

Typical chain restaurant, you've been to one, you've been to them all. Showed up at 7:30 on a Friday night, had to wait until about 8:20 to get a table. Killed some time at the bar. Once we got seated, the service was fast, food was okay. i'd never become a regular but I have nothing bad to say about the experience.

Authentic Australian Cuisine at its finest! This was one of my favorite food places growing up in Maryland. We use to come here for special occasions like birthdays, not wetting the bed, and meeting new friends off Craigslist. This place has been pretty busy since day one. I've waited for up to 2.5 hours for a table for four. I normally get the Outback Special, but recently started getting the Ribeyes. There was a period where they had different seasonings, but just go with the original. The steaks are will marbled and with three sides (soup or salad + 2 sides). I've noticed throughout the years they have began skimping out on ingredients. The fully loaded potato is about half the size, compared to what it was back in 1999. No matter. Bad economy and I'm getting fat anyways. Good bang for the buck, compared to other steakhouses. I'm giving this place 4 stars because of the reasonably priced food and good memories. The long waits is what killed them from getting a 5. A little about my credentials: I first got into cooking & food when I was in college. After being rejected by numerous girls and getting zero action, I decided it was time for a change. I needed a new makeover to boost my geeky, engineering image. I applied for a cooking position at a Mediterranean-Italian Restaurant near my home and learned to cook all sorts of pastas and dishes. I never became a professional chef, but I continue to enjoy & love food. 9 years later and 55 lbs heavier, I am now an engineer that travels all over the world trying new foods and learning about different cultures.

It's Outback. I'm pretty sure they tell the servers to kneel at your table, which makes you feel weird when I think they're going for more of a "hey guys, it's just me your pal 'kevin' feel..." But the food happily fills your belly and their bread is like crack.

  • Kt R.

Went there Friday night. Long line, an hour's wait, but we'd called ahead which cut the wait to15 min. Service was efficient and friendly. Food was good but not great. The bloomin onion was very good, soup was good, but the steaks weren't quite right- over or under done, and not as well seasoned as we'd like. Would go again but not on the weekend.

  • Mike W.

I only go here because the wife and daughter love it. The price is very reasonable but you get what you pay for. This is not my definition of steakhouse. I'm a man and am very fond of red meat, that being said I am also very fond of good portions. I understand that the economy is not as great as it has been, but don't cut back on quality to help the consumer save; give us something really good for a fair price, not something terrible for a great price! I never understood why this place gets so busy....

    (2)
  • Joey A.

The service was fairly good, and the bread in the beginning was great. If you are getting a side salad I would cheer you on because it's really good. I wouldn't recommend getting the No Rules Parmesan Pasta because there are spices all over the pasta and it didn't taste like pasta. Try not to order the chicken breast with it if you don't want to make your own knife exhausted. I've had better, for sure!

  • Ardon G.

Crowded, busy, tight seating. Noisy and did I say busy? My salad was terrific!!! It wasn't "a classic wedge" by any means - it was way better! I ordered the Outback Combo featuring steak and shrimp. Rookie mistake (I find out later from someone who works at a another Outback). Anyway... the steak was raw and oddly cut. The 3 small shrimp were tasty but I felt pretty guilty eating the sad little things l since they looked so pitiful laying there in the plate. My fellow diners had similiar experiences to mine which means that the salads were wonderful and the main dishes were merely faint reproductions of the menu descriptions. All of us had too much white plate showing and too small of a table to fit all these practically empty plates on. Restaurants should downsize their plates when they downsize their portions - especially when it is so obvious that that is what they have done. Except for the guy that got the ribs.... they were truly amazing. Generous portion - delectably cooked, hot and perfect sauce. They actually filled his plate. Next time - I get the same salad and I sit next to the guy that orders the ribs!! Yep, that's my plan....

Restaurants of any class are rarely this good. From the management to the servers, and especially this one bus boy are the best I've experienced. The food is always hot, timely, and delicious. The servers are always friendly and attentive. And the managers are always professional. This is the first review for a restaurant I've ever written in my life - and there's a reason why. Everyone on this Outback team deserves kudos for a job VERY well done. Thank you for doing your job and doing it SO WELL!

All Outback's have the same menu. This one is one place my partner and I can agree on. We have not found anything on the menu that we hated. We have had almost every appetizer, a couple soups, and when we come we always have steak. I like the ribeye and he gets the Outback Special every time, which is a decent price for a steak meal. I have tried the fish and it was ok. I mean it's a steakhouse. If you do not plan on eating steak I would suggest an appetizer or soup or salad. The key with this restaurant is consistency - both in food and in service - always good. Outback Steakhouse in Columbia will sometimes have a 1.5-2 hour wait on a busy Friday night. I would suggest call ahead seating. During longer wait times, they will bring out small samples of their appetizers to waiting guests. You won't get full but I enjoy the tease. There is also a small station set up to the right of door with something to drink - I haven't had it but it look like tea maybe? Good food at decent price and good service every time!!

I will never come back here. I came with my in-laws on a Saturday for lunch. We were immediately seated. However, no one informed our server of this and we sat there with no service for 10 minutes. I finally asked a server who the server was for our table and she apologized and instead of going away to get our server took our drink order for us and then went to get the server. Thank you for being considerate despite the fact that you aren't the one getting tipped! Our drinks were another 10 minutes. Our waitress was confused by our orders (we ordered off the menu BTW). There was also an error on the check and never once did she check in to see how the food was. A manager stopped by and we informed her of our issues. Not that it was expected but it would have been nice to get some sort of compensation (a comped app or something) but she was just sorry. We won't be back.
